What is the Women Rising for Climate Resilience programme?
The Women Rising for Climate Resilience course is an 8-week learning journey designed to strengthen your leadership for climate resilience. It provides knowledge and tools to help you turn your care into small, actionable steps for climate action.
The course is self-paced, allowing you to learn and complete it at your own convenience. There are no scheduled live sessions; instead, you’ll receive resources and materials to guide your independent learning.
How do I access the course?
After signing up, you should receive a confirmation email with a link to your course and instructions on how to log in or create your account on the Wedu Learning System. Use the link in the email to log in, then go to your account dashboard to access the course. If you do not see the course right away, double-check that you are logged in using the same email address that received the invitation email.
If you can’t log in or you forgot your password, start by using the “Forgot password” option on the login screen and request a reset to the email you enrolled with. Check your spam or promotions folder if the reset email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, and make sure you are not trying to log in with a different email alias. If you’re stuck in a loop, try these quick fixes:
- Log out completely, then log back in
- Try an incognito/private window
- Clear browser cache and cookies for the site
- Disable browser extensions that block popups, scripts, or cookies
- Switch to a different browser or device
For the smoothest experience, use a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox) on a laptop or desktop, especially for longer lessons, downloads, or typing reflections. Mobile and tablets work well for watching lessons on the go, but some activities are easier on a larger screen. Keep your browser updated, allow cookies for the site, and use a stable internet connection to prevent playback or login issues.
How many modules are there in the course?
The course consists of 12 mandatory modules. Each module is concise and focused, containing around 15 slides designed for approximately 30 minutes of reading.

What is included in each module?
Each module explores a different aspect of climate resilience, problem mapping, and solution design. It combines theory, reflective assessments, and discussion boards to encourage engagement with your peers.
Do I have to complete the modules in order?
Yes, we highly recommend completing the modules in order. Each module builds upon the previous one and is carefully structured to encourage self-reflection and strengthen your leadership skills. Following the sequence will help you gain the most from the learning experience.
Can I access all modules at once?
No, each module unlocks only after you complete the previous one. This step-by-step approach is designed to deepen your self-awareness and progressively enhance your leadership capacity.
How do I complete and submit an assessment?
Each module includes assessments with clear instructions. Follow the steps provided, and once you’ve completed an assessment, you’ll receive a confirmation within the course platform.
Note: These assessments are meant to support your leadership development and personal reflection. We expect participants to complete all work independently and avoid any form of plagiarism. While AI tools can be useful for research and idea generation, please use them responsibly. You should not rely solely on AI tools such as ChatGPT to complete your modules, as doing so may compromise your learning experience.
When is the deadline?
The course runs in 8-week cohorts, each with a fixed start and end date. You can progress at your own pace within that period.
Since each module unlocks sequentially, we recommend completing one module per week for the most meaningful learning experience.
What happens if I cannot meet the deadline?
All modules must be completed within the 8-week course period. If you’re unable to finish within that timeframe, you’ll need to re-register for the next cohort and start again from the beginning.
Can Wedu extend the deadline?
Unfortunately, deadlines cannot be extended, as the course operates in cohorts.
However, you may re-register to join another cohort. We encourage you to save your completed assessments, as they may be useful when you resume the course.
What happens after I complete the Rising for Climate Resilience course?
Upon successful completion, you will:
- Receive a Certificate of Completion
- Join a global community of 5,000 gender equity allies
- Be invited to learning and networking events held periodically
- Be connected to a mentor with a climate background to support you as you refine and implement your Climate Solution Concept Note, if eligible
How can I interact with other participants in my cohort?
You’ll have several opportunities to connect with your peers during the course:
Wedu Leadership Platform
Wedu Leadership Platform
At the start of the course, you’ll be invited to introduce yourself on the Wedu Leadership Platform in LearnWorlds. This space is designed to help participants connect, share their backgrounds, and build a supportive learning community.
WhatsApp Community Group
At the beginning of the course, you’ll receive a link to join your cohort’s WhatsApp group. Participation is optional but encouraged. The group is used for key announcements and provides a space to exchange questions, ideas, and encouragement.
Meet-and-Greet & Check-in Sessions
We'll host a virtual Meet-and-Greet session at the start of the course, a Mid-Course Check-in Webinar after one month, and a Final Sharing Webinar in the final week. These informal gatherings offer opportunities to connect, share insights, and celebrate progress. Attendance is optional and will not affect your completion status.
