Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Introduction to Leadership (ITL) Course?
Introduction to Leadership is an 8-week, 8-module leadership development course designed to help women build confidence, clarity, and foundational leadership skills. The course is fully self-paced, allowing you to learn and complete it at your own pace.
We understand that everyone learns differently. That’s why, for ITL’s 36th Cohort, you can now choose the learning experience that best fits your needs. You may complete the course independently through our Open Access experience, or learn alongside a community of peers and experts through our Community Access experience.
Who is ITL for?
Women aged 20+ across South and Southeast Asia. Whether you're early in your career or stepping into a new chapter, ITL meets you where you are.
How do I access the course?
What's the difference between Community Access and Open Access?
Community Access includes the full curriculum plus 5 live cohort sessions, a pool of expert facilitators, and a cohort circle. Open Access includes the same curriculum but is fully experienced independently within the cohort period — no live sessions, no facilitators.

Can I switch from Open Access to Community Access later?
Yes, if Community seats are still available. You'll pay the membership fee at the time of upgrade. Email us at leadership@weduglobal.org within the first two weeks of the cohort.
What if I miss a live session?
All live sessions are recorded and shared with your cohort circle within 24 hours. You'll never fall behind!
How does sponsorship work?
You can pay forward the gift of leadership by sponsoring a seat for another woman leader. Simply fill out the sponsorship form, and our team will take care of their enrollment process for you.

How many modules are there in the course?
The Introduction to Leadership (ITL) course has eight mandatory modules. Please carefully read the instructions in the course guidebook to ensure a strong start!
What is included in each module?
Each module touches upon a different aspect of leadership and includes a combination of theory, reflective assessments and discussion boards to engage with your peers.
How much time would I need to complete each module?
It may take you between 1 and 3 hours to complete each module.
Can I access all the modules at the same time?
Each module unlocks after you complete the one before it. This step-by-step journey is designed to help you build deeper self-awareness and strengthen your leadership skills as you go. We encourage you to move through the modules to get the most out of the experience.
Do I have to complete the modules in order?
We highly recommend completing the modules in order. Each module is interconnected and specifically designed to stimulate self-reflection and enhance leadership traits. Hence, completing them in the designated sequence can significantly contribute to your leadership journey.
How do I complete and submit an exercise or assessment?
Exercises and assessments are built into each module with clear instructions to guide you. Simply follow the steps, and once you've completed the assessment, you'll receive a confirmation within the course platform that it's done—no separate submission is needed.
Note: These assessments help you focus on your leadership development objectives and reflect on your personal and professional goals. Therefore, we expect participants to work independently. Please refrain from engaging in any type of plagiarism.

Can Wedu extend the deadline?
We could not extend the deadline since the course occurs in cohorts. You can, however, re-register to complete the course in another cycle. What happens if I am unable to meet the deadline?
All modules must be finished within the 8-week course period to complete the course. If you’re unable to do so, you’ll need to re-register for the next cycle and start the course again from the beginning.
